About Us

Cheddington Bowls Club was founded in 1983 by a small group of enthusiasts living in the village.

They created a three rink green in the back garden of the Manor House and played friendly matches against other clubs in the area.

Ensuing years saw the club move to our current location and gain affiliation to the Buckinghamshire and England Bowling Associations.

Under astute management it has become a well respected club in the bowling community, noted for its good organisation and especially, its friendliness.

Today, as well as Cheddington, the club attracts members from Tring, Dunstable, Leighton Buzzard and Linslade and all the villages between those towns.

Being run on a sound financial basis, the club has been able to make continued improvements, the most recent being the renewal of the clubhouse floor and redecoration of the men’s changing room.

As for the future, the members, with a democratically elected management team, are determined to have effective plans in place to take the club forward for many years to come.
